2013 Backyard Composting Program
MMSB has partnered with 28 municipalities to offer compost bins to residents at a reduced cost. Communities will also be hosting free, Learn to Compost information sessions. This partnership encourages communities to provide residents with the knowledge and tools needed to start composting. If you are a resident of the following communities, you may contact your town for more information.

In Spring 2011, MMSB partnered with 53 Municipalities throughout Newfoundland and Labrador to offer backyard compost bins at a reduce rate to residents with an opportunity for residents to participate in an educational training session on successful backyard composting. If you are a resident of the following communities, you may contact your town for more information on the availability of compost bins. Many towns who were part of the 2011 Program have sold out of compost bins. However, the towns in bold below may still have compost bins in stock.
