Used Tire Recycling Program
On April 1, 2002, government regulations for the Used Tire Recycling Program placed a ban on the disposal of used tires in municipal waste disposal sites in Newfoundland and Labrador. Residents have been provided with a return-to-retailer service for the proper disposal of used passenger and light truck tires, as well as commercial truck tires used on heavy trucks, busses and large recreational vehicles.
